Reach out to the oppressed
Feed the hungry
Clothe the naked
Provide shelter for the wanderer
Sounds like the mission statement of a charitable non-profit organisation. Actually, they are the calling for all of The Creators children, who tend to turn a blind eye to those broken and lost, those who lay hopeless, helpless and in need. the Creator shows His heart to the need by promising a blessed future, enriched with joyous abundance if we adhere, but also vows to not answer even the most desprerate cry of the fasting creation-child.
-Isaiah58-
This is what it is; Imagine, all of a sudden you loose your job, then a killer disease takes away the lives of your parents and siblings. A jealous relative or friend turns on you and spreads vile rumors that you killed your own fam. Relatives reject your plead for help. Unable to pay the rent, you are later evicted. And due to disease risks, your parents and siblings are not allowed a respective burial and the lifeless bodies are thrown to the incinery. You are on your own, hated, broken, shattered and unable to help yourself due to emotional and physical reasons. On your way to find a job you are robbed and beaten of the little you had, and a strike to a nerve leaves you partially paralised in the right arm and left leg. Now you are really helpless...more tragedies unfold. One bad circumstance after another.
Other people have the ability to help...they just don't want to...
They are busy.
Life in such a situation seems horrid to the average working individual, but now imagine:
More than thirty thousand children die everyday of treatable diseases.
Why can't we show that flake of emotion to care. Why does it all have to be about us, the person, the individual, my success, my goals, my future me. And with all the ability to help our selves it is impossible to lend a helping hand to those who are too oppressed to stand on their own two feet?
Let's change this and realise that our own situations can change in the blink of an eye! Now I don't know about karma, but I know that our sin has consequences, and that sin could be the fact you are too proud to care about the humble at heart.
So would you open your eyes to see beyond the greed-bourne material things, and look to the ones who are cant even have a single crumb of bread?
Let love rule.
